Our office is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. non-holiday weekdays.

Before making property tax payments, check your mortgage statement to determine if your taxes are being collected and held in escrow. Most mortgages are set up this way, and the mortgage company sends your taxes to us by the payment deadlines. We are required by law to send the tax statement to you for your records.

2023 Property Tax Statements for taxes due in 2024 will be mailed on January 30, 2024. For those choosing to pay in two equal installments, first half payments are due February 29th, and second half payments are due June 17th. Taxpayers prefering to pay the full amount at one time, the deadline is April 30th.

Payments can be mailed to P.O. Box 479, Eagle, CO 81631; delivered in person or dropped into one of the 24-hour ballot drop boxes located in El Jebel at the Community Center Building near Crown Mountain Park, 20 Eagle County Dr, El Jebel or the Eagle County Building, 500 Broadway, Eagle. Online payments are also accepted at https://eaglecounty.us/treasurer/propertytaxsearchpay. We encourage taxpayers to use our E-check service for the fastest posting of payments, immediate emailed receipt of payments and a $1.00 fee.

Call or email us if you have questions, need forms or additional information: treasurer@eaglecounty.us or 970-328-8860.

The Treasurer is responsible for mailing property tax notices; collecting and disbursing taxes to the taxing authorities; receiving and depositing all monies for Eagle County; disbursing monies upon order of the Board of Commissioners; and investing all excess funds.
