August 22, 2023 - Become a Colorado Master Gardener. The application period is open now. Applications will be accepted until September 15, and training begins on October 30.

Initial training consists of 15 online, self-paced classes focused on gardening in Colorado: botany, soils, trees, lawn care, vegetables, entomology, plant pathology, Colorado gardening challenges and more. The online class content is up-to-date, engaging, self-paced, and includes integrated readings, videos, activities, and quizzes.

There are four optional in-person labs that provide participants with an opportunity for hands-on learning. The labs also allow students a chance to meet their fellow Eagle County Master Gardeners as well as their Master Gardener Coordinator. Training begins on October 30 and concludes on March 31, 2024.
