Eagle County Open Space requires all commercial operators to obtain permits prior to operating on Open Space properties.

**Applications for a 2023 commercial permit have closed**

Commercial Activities are defined as activities that provide any service or product including, but not limited to, guiding, training, photography, instructing, outfitting, or any service for which a fee is charged.

All commercial permit applications require a $150.00 application fee due at time of submission.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover Card payments online. Permit application fees paid online are assessed a 2.5% processing fee.

** Please enter $150.00 in the amount field. Full payment is required prior to being issued a permit.

Please make checks payable to Eagle County Open Space.
Cash is NOT accepted and payments are NOT accepted at the Eagle County Building.

  • All commercial operators are required to submit a “Post Use” report to Eagle County Open Space.
  • All commercial operators must provide Eagle County with proof of liability insurance and list “Eagle County” as additionally insured. View the required insurance coverages.
  • All commercial guiding and outfitting is prohibited at Miller Ranch Open Space per the 2012 Conservation Easement.
  • All commercial fishing is prohibited at the Brush Creek Valley Ranch and Open Space per the 2018 Management Plan.
  • Commercial operators using Open Space properties to access other public lands MUST have the requisite permits from respective agencies (ex: USFS, BLM, CPW). An Eagle County Open Space permit does not guarantee or allow access to properties managed by other agencies.
