Hillcrest Roundabout (Construction)
Eagle County has hired Gould Construction Inc, to reconstruct the intersection of Highway 6 and Hillcrest Drive in West Edwards, Colorado from the current T intersection into a single lane roundabout.  Construction is scheduled to start April 1, 2024 with a completion date of September 30, 2024. 

Highway 131 & Ute Creek Road Intersection (Design)
Eagle County has hired a professional engineering consultant to the design of the intersection of Highway 131 and Ute Creek Road in Eagle County, Colorado. The project will require at least 2 intersection design alternatives, to include necessary turn lanes and roundabout alternatives, the preferred alternative to be selected by the project team composed of Eagle County staff and various stakeholders. Final plans are anticipated to be completed by August 2024.

El Jebel Intersection Upgrade (Design)
Eagle County has hired a professional engineering consultant to the design and reconfigure Jebel Road and Valley Road intersection in El Jebel, Colorado. The project will redesign the intersection to provide for more stacking distance for the south leg of the El Jebel intersection. Final plans are anticipated to be completed by August 2024.

West Lake Creek Road Bridge (Design)
Eagle County Engineering and Road Bridge departments are working on the design to replaced the West Lake Creek Road Bridge over the West Lake Creek in the late summer / early fall of 2024. The current structure was built in 1940 and needs to be replaced as the bridge is classified as structurally deficient.

Daggett Lane Bridge

Eagle County Engineering and Road Bridge departments replaced the Daggett Lane Bridge over the Gypsum Creek in the summer of 2023. The bridge needed replacement because the bridge was classified as structurally deficient. 

Gypsum Creek Bridge  

Eagle County Engineering and Road Bridge departments replaced the Gypsum Creek Bridge in the summer of 2022. The bridge needed replacement because the bridge was classified as structurally deficient. 

I-70G Edwards Interchange Upgrade Project Phase 2 (Edwards Spur Road)

Eagle County and the Colorado Department of Transportation collaborated on Phase II of the I-70 Edwards Interchange Upgrade Project in Edwards. The project encompassed roadway improvements along the Edwards Spur Road from Miller Ranch Road to U.S. Hwy 6, including the intersection. Construction began in February of 2019 and was completed in September of 2020.
