About the Project
This project will reconfigure the existing "T" intersection between Highway 6 an Hillcrest Drive into a single lane roundabout.
Construction will take place under traffic.
Travelers are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive distraction free while traveling through the project limits.
The project will improve safety for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.
This project aims to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Eagle County.
This project is funded by Eagle County and the Edwards Metro District.
Traffic Impacts
Speeds will be reduced from normal speeds to 30 mph to 20 mph through the project limits during construction.
Travel lane widths will be reduced to 11 feet through the project limits during construction.
Below is the first phase for handling traffic.
Per the Colorado Department of Transportation Lane Closure Strategy, the contractor is allowed lane closures down to a single lane with flaggers provided that the delay to the traveling public is no greater than 15 minutes for the following times for the following dates:

- September 16 to September 30: Closures are allowed between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
