Colorado Native Plant Bed

Colorado Native Plant Bed

userway ADA
The Native Bed contains some lovely wildflowers. Typically a native bed needs well-drained, lean soil—that is, soil that has not been amended with a lot of organic material or fertilizer. The bed needs little water; however, when planting new specimens, keep them well-watered until established, which could mean up to a few years. If soil is too rich, plants will be short-lived.  Generally, the plants in this bed require full- to part-sun.
