Demonstration Garden
The Colorado State Extension demonstration garden in Eagle, locally known as the White House Garden, is well-established and contains a large palette of plant possibilities for Eagle County residents to observe, to drool over, and perhaps, armed with in-person knowledge, to select choice plants and/or avoid an erroneous plant purchase.

The White House Garden, formerly a long-time residential yard at 441 Broadway, Eagle, is divided into 5 main demonstration areas: Native Bed, Water-wise Bed, Plant Select Bed, Perennial Potpourri Bed, and Herb Beds. As there is overlapping between beds, you may find a plant in more than one bed.

The White House Demonstration Garden complex also contains many raised beds for growing vegetables in the back.  These are planted by various volunteer groups, with the harvest donated to the Golden Eagle Senior Center.
