Advisory Committee Appointment for the  Eagle County Land Use Regulations Reform Project

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Advisory Committee for the Eagle County Land Use Regulation Reform Project.  The application period is now closed.


The Advisory Committee for the Eagle County Land Use Regulation Reform Project (AC) will be comprised of a group of engaged community members, agency partners and stakeholders who have been selected to collaboratively provide perspective and advice on policy issues and technical aspects of the County's proposed new land use regulations. The AC will meet to consider various regulatory approaches, review proposed code modules and recommend revisions throughout each phase of the process.  While some experience with reading and applying land use regulations is helpful, it is not required. The Board will appoint an AC of not more than 15 people, with a balanced representation of geographical locations, perspectives, and with varied experience and expertise.

Members and associate members of the Eagle County Planning Commission shall be residents of Eagle County prior to appointment, and registered voters. Although no specific experience requirements are necessary as a prerequisite to appointment, consideration is given to applicants who have experience or education in planning, law, architecture, natural resource management, real estate and related fields.
Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission
The Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission (RFVRPC) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Roaring Fork Valley, Missouri Heights and Frying Pan Road areas of unincorporated Eagle County. View additional powers and duties outlined in the Eagle County Land Use Regulations on page 5-2. RFVRPC hearings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month, starting at 2:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
