Voter Services
The Eagle County Clerk and Recorder’s office is responsible for accurately and transparently administering elections.

In even-numbered years, elections include: 

• primary election in June, 
• general election in November,
• and in presidential election years (such as in 2024), a presidential primary election in March.

In odd-numbered years, a coordinated election is held in November. 

Administration includes:
Coordinating with participating entities
Programming the election
Creating the ballot
Testing the voting equipment
Mailing the ballots
Verifying the integrity of returned ballots and tabulating the results
 
We provide election assistance to:
Municipalities
School districts
Special districts
 
We are responsible for all voter registration functions including:
Registering citizens to vote
Making voter-initiated changes to voter registrations
Maintaining the voter database
