Animal Services provides a variety of animal control services for unincorporated Eagle County and all of the incorporated towns within the county except for the towns of Basalt and Avon. If you have an animal control matter within the Town of Basalt please contact their police department at 970-927-4316. If you have an animal control matter within the Town of Avon please call Vail Dispatch at 970-479-2201. Some of the incidents covered include animal bites, animal attacks, barking, animals running at large, welfare checks, and animals harassing livestock or wildlife. Please note: If you are having problems with wildlife pests such as ground squirrels, raccoons, skunks, bats, and others on private property, please contact a wildlife removal company.
