Many of the properties managed by Eagle County Open Space are protected in perpetuity by voluntary land preservation agreements that restrict certain activities that might impact the character and quality of the property.
Special events must support or enhance the conservation values of Open Space properties and are defined as community events that require a larger amount of oversight from Eagle County Open Space staff for which a fee may be charged. Special Events are events that exceed 25 participants.Eagle County Open Space requires event proposals to be submitted at least 60 days prior to the date of the event.
Educational programs are curriculum driven and generally support the mission of the Eagle County Open Space program. Programs will have less than 25 participants. Eagle County Open Space requires programming requests to be received no less than 14 days prior to the proposed program.
