Unincorporated Eagle County, Public-Private Partnership for Broadband Initiative, Invitation to Negotiate

userway ADA
Eagle County would like to invite Service Provider partners to negotiate terms and conditions for Public-Private Partnerships for a Broadband Initiative. Eagle County sees the need, more than ever, for advanced broadband services to all of its constituents, especially those areas within unincorporated Eagle County that are underserved (less than 100/20 Mbps) and unserved (less than 25/3 Mbps). Eagle County is willing to consider providing a portion of the capital necessary to build out a minimum of 100/100 Mbps, but ideally 1/1 Gbps, of services to its underserved/unserved homes and businesses within a targeted timeline for completion between now and the end of 2024. Developing partnerships focused on improving existing unserved areas is the highest priority, while better serving our underserved communities follows closely behind. The County may consider options for co-ownership of the infrastructure, a right-of-first-refusal to obtain ownership or language in the contract requiring ownership to be transferred to the County in the event of a default.
