Second Half Property Tax Deadline June 17, 2019

Second half property tax deadline is June 17

June 3, 2019 - The deadline for the second half payment of 2018 property taxes due in 2019 is June 17. Payments must be made in U.S. funds issued by a U.S. bank. Payment options include in person delivery at our Eagle office, by mail, online by credit card or electronic check. There will be a 2.5% fee charged by our credit card processor to pay by credit card and a $1.00 fee to use an electronic check.

To pay online using your checking account or a credit card, go to www.eaglecounty.us/treasurer and access the “Property Tax Search – Pay” option. To find your account using your physical address, it’s sometimes easier to enter only the street name and city, and then scroll down to your account rather than entering a house number.

If paying by check, make it payable to Eagle County Treasurer.  We are located at 500 Broadway in Eagle, and our mailing address is P.O. Box 479, Eagle CO 81631. Payments postmarked by June 17 meet the deadline; however, note that only United States Postal Service postmarks are accepted. We do not recommend using your bank’s online bill pay as these are frequently sent later than the date indicated. Payments can also be deposited into the 24-hour drop boxes (used for mail ballots at election time) located outside of our Eagle and El Jebel offices.

Contact the Treasurer’s Office at 970-328-8860 for assistance using a credit card, electronic check payment or to verify the amount due. This information can also be found on the “Property Tax Search – Pay” page of the Treasurer’s website.

Those with property taxes being escrowed by a bank or mortgage company should double check with their provider before making a tax payment.

We are in the process of attempting to call or email property owners whose accounts are delinquent and accruing interest. Please contact the Treasurer’s Office at 970-328-8860 for more information.
