Openings available on the Eagle Valley Trails Committee

Contact: Kevin Sharkey, ECO Trails Program Manager, 970-328-3523, kevin.sharkey@eaglecounty.us

March 6, 2019 – Eagle County is seeking two community members to serve on its Eagle Valley Trails Committee. Vacancies exist for a voting member from District 3, which includes Dotsero, Gypsum and Eby Creek Mesa; and a community member from the Eagle River Valley to serve at-large.

The committee generally meets five to six times per year to plan trail projects for construction using funds from the one-half percent transportation sales tax. Members are expected to participate in an area of emphasis such as paved trail planning, special events or fundraising. Members contribute according to their specific interests or expertise. Field trips, research, and occasional attendance at meetings of related organizations may be necessary.

The application, as well as additional information, is available online. Applications are due no later than May 1. For more details or to obtain a hard copy of the application, contact Kevin Sharkey at 970-328-3523.
