Got Drugs?

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand at the Gypsum Town Hall on Saturday, September 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription and over-the counter medications as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Safe disposal of expired, unwanted or unused medication reduces the risk accidental poisoning and overdose, intentional misuse and abuse, and protects our local rivers that are used as a source for our drinking water.

“I urge everyone to take advantage of this free service so we can keep our waterways clean and our homes safer,” said Sheriff Joe Hoy.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is being sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).  The service is free and no personal information will be collected.  For more information visit
