Eagle County services restricting in person interactions

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, Eagle County government will be providing services via phone and/or online services and restricting in person interactions until April 8, 2020, when these precautions will be reevaluated. All essential county services are still being provided and contact information and on-line services can be accessed at https://www.eaglecounty.us/Administration/News/Eagle_County_Government_Services_Restricting_in_person_interations/

Directed Patrol Requests

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) relies on information from the public to direct patrol assignments. A person may request additional patrol by calling the Vail Public Safety Communication Center 970-479-2201 to speak to a patrol deputy or send an email to info@sheriff.eagle.co.us.

Generally the following information will be required:

  •  Name
  •  Address
  •  Telephone number
  •  Specifics of complaint (i.e., "speeders every day on Lake Creek Road between 7 and 8 a.m., especially a newer model black Chevy Tahoe driven by John Doe.")

Anonymous information is also accepted by the ECSO; however, in order to more efficiently investigate and follow up on a complaint, contact information is appreciated.
