WorkWell Collaborative

The goal of the WorkWell Collaborative is to create a coordinated system across Economic Development Region 12 (Pitkin, Eagle, Summit, Grand and Jackson Counties) to support employers to develop and sustain workplace wellness programs through the implementation of Health Links Colorado and via partnership with the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments.  This will increase the number of employers offering comprehensive and evidence-based workplace wellness programs. The WorkWell Collaborative is made possible by grant funding Eagle County Public Health and Environment received from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Pulmonary Disease grant program.

Health Links Colorado

Health Links Colorado is a non-profit initiative of the Center for Worker Health and Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health that includes the following components:

  • Advising for Employers: FREE advising for employers to help develop, or enhance and existing, wellness program that is cost-effective, sustainable, and meets the unique needs of their employees. Health Links Advisors will be available in Pitkin, Eagle, Summit, Grand and Jackson Counties.
  • Healthy Business Certification: State-wide recognition of employers that meet evidence-based benchmarks of success for their workplace wellness program.
  • Kick-start Funding: Employers with 50 or fewer employees are eligible to receive up to $1,000 in funding to get a wellness program off the ground.
  • Vendor Portal: Easy referral and connection to wellness and safety vendors offering services employers may be looking for.

Pitkin, Eagle, Summit, Grand, and Jackson Counties each have a dedicated Health Links Lead Advisor to connect directly with local employers.

Health Equity in Worksite Wellness

The WorkWell Collaborative is dedicated to ensuring worksite wellness programs meet the needs of all employees. Two subcontractors were hired to: 1) lead a discussion with the WorkWell Collaborative Advisory Committee to gain an employers’ perspective on equity in wellness programming, 2) conduct 17 semi-structured interviews with employees of diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds, and 3) develop a final report summarizing the interviews and discussions, and providing recommendations on how to increase reach and participation in wellness programs.

Regional Health and Wellness Sector Partnership

Convened by the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG) and comprised of multi-sector representatives from across Region 12, this group will serve as the Advisory Committee for the WorkWell Collaborative. NWCCOG is hosting a web page that will serve as the clearinghouse for all information related to the WorkWell Collaborative.
