Neighborhood Partnership Program open for applications

Nov. 8, 2017 – Eagle County is currently accepting applications for its Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP), which provides cost sharing to local organizations proposing improvements to public or common spaces in their community. The program provides assistance for developing small- to medium-sized projects on public property or neighborhood common areas. 

The application can be found at The deadline for submittal is Nov. 30.

Examples of projects that will be considered for funding and assistance include the following:

  • Improvements to active transportation amenities and accessibility, such as sidewalks, recreation paths, ADA access, Safe Routes to Schools, signage, transit access, etc.
  • Public safety and traffic calming improvements.
  • Parks and playgrounds.
  • Public art and beautification.
  • Community gardens and landscape demonstration projects.
  • Storm water management, erosion control and water quality protection.

A 50 percent cost share and maintenance commitment from the applicant is recommended, which can be achieved through cash contributions, in-kind contributions, and/or donated labor.

Applications submitted by Nov. 30 will be considered for funding in 2017. The county plans to review another round of applications spring of 2018.
