Online recording services and the Recorded Document Search web application will also be unavailable.

Fair & Rodeo Advisory Council

Purpose
The purpose of the Fair & Rodeo Advisory Council is to host a premier fair and rodeo event that preserves our western heritage and provides enjoyment for our communities and visitors.

Meetings
Held on the first Wednesday of each month from 4:30 – 6 p.m.

Terms
Regular members serve two-year terms.

Responsibilities  

  • Plan and implement annual Fair & Rodeo events
  • Advance Eagle County’s Fair & Rodeo Advisory Council’s purpose
  • Provide proper financial oversight
  • Ensure adequate resources
  • Ensure effective planning
  • Recruit and orient new board members and assess board performance
  • Communicate and be a spokesperson for the Fair & rodeo mission and the event in the community
  • Evaluate the Fair & Rodeo event annually and identify performance improvement measures to implement during the next year

Council Member Qualifications and Skills  

  • Diverse representation of professional and technical backgrounds and skill sets  
  • Individuals must be passionate, hardworking, team-oriented, visionary, collegial, practical, engaging, and innovative 
  • Background in financial management, planning, customer service, fundraising, legal, media and public relations
  • Strong organizational development, technology, facility management experience and fair and rode expertise
  • Diversity of geography, age and ethnicity

Commitment

  • Plan to attend 11 monthly meetings
  • Attend and work every day of the event – generally the last week of July
  • Bring ideas to continuously improve the event
