National Crime Victims' Rights Week
Eagle County Sheriff's Office will be promoting victims’ rights and honoring crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.
April 7-May 12 CSU Extension presents Babysitter Basics Training Program 
Give yourself an advantage by taking the Babysitting Basics Training Program 
4-5:30 p.m. every Monday, excluding April 14
Gypsum Public Library.
April 7-13 National Public Health Week
Do you know what Public Health does for our community? There is much to learn about this department and the services they provide. From education and outreach to offering immunizations, Eagle County Public Health is an integral part of our community.
April 8 Eagle County Board of Commissioners Meeting
Proclamation announcing April as National County Government Month.
April 8 Month of the Young Child Parade and Celebration
A parade of children and early childhood professionals will start at 2nd and Broadway at 11 a.m. and end the Eagle County Building courtyard.

Presented by St. Mary’s Regional Blood Center from  11 a.m. - 2 p.m at the  Eagle County Building
April 14 Child Abuse Prevention Month Planting Pinwheels for Prevention 
Presented by Eagle County Child, Family & Adult Services from 2 - 3 p.m. at the Eagle County Building
April 16-17 olorado Wildland Fire Conference at the Glenwood Springs Community Center
April 19 4/20 Drug Free Rally
The Eagle County Sheriff's Office will once again co-host a 4/20 Drug Free Rally on Saturday, April 19.  
April 22 Earth Day Poster Contest Winners Announced
Each year, the Environmental Health Department sponsors an Earth Day Poster Contest for all Eagle County fourth graders. An awards ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. April 22 at the Eagle County Building.
April 26 Community Pride Highway Cleanup
Join the Eagle River Water Shed Council to help clean up our community and enjoy a volunteer barbeque.

In keeping with the theme, Eagle County is encouraging all residents to subscribe to EC Alert at www.ecalert.org. The free service is customizable and provides citizens with useful information and emergency updates by sending messages to a variety of devices, including email accounts and cell phones.
