2020 Election Dates

2020 General Election Dates

  • Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020
  • Ballots will be mailed October 9, 2020, to all active registered voters.
  • This election will be for federal (including President/Vice President), state and local candidates as well as state and local ballot questions and issues.
  • More detailed information will be available on our website in August 2020.

Important Dates

  • September 15 & September 16: Logic & Accuracy ballot testing
  • October   9: Ballots begin mailing to active voters
  • October 12: 22-day Colorado residency deadline
  • October   9: 24-hour ballot boxes open throughout the county
  • October 19: Eagle, Avon, and El Jebel Voter Service and Polling Centers open, locations can be found here
  • October 26: Last day to update your registration to receive a ballot by mail
  • October 26: Recommended last day to return your ballot by mail. After this day, return only to 24-hour ballot boxes.
  • November 3: Last day to vote
    • Ballots must be received by 7 p.m.

Make sure the Clerk and Recorder has your correct addresses.  Check your voter registration record by visiting GoVoteColorado.gov or by calling 970-328-8715.

You can also add a specific “ballot mailing address” to your voter registration if you will be away from home when ballots are mailed. Please note by law ballots cannot be forwarded by the U.S. Postal Service.
