Home food preservation classes

Learn the basics of home canning with Eagle County's CSU Extension Master Food Safety Advisors. Workshops will held from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first three Wednesdays in September at the Golden Eagle Senior Center in Eagle. All classes will include a lecture on the science of home foood preservation, followed by a hands-on lab.

Topics include:
Sept. 1- Jams and Jellies/Water Bath Canning
Sept. 8 - Pickled Products/Water Bath Canning
Sept. 15 -Vegetables/Pressure Canning

Cost is $25 per individual class. Those who register for all three classes will recieve a discounted rate of $70 plus a copy of the 100th anniversary edition of the Ball Blue Book Guide to Preserving. For more information or to register, contact the CSU Extension Office at 970-328-8630.
