Jan. 13, 2015 – Eagle County’s CSU Extension Office is now enrolling for the 2015 Colorado Energy Master program. The program runs from Feb. 17 through March 28 and will be held in the Garden Level Classroom of the Eagle County Building, located at 500 Broadway in Eagle.

The program offers participants up to 30 hours of energy education in three different courses, through a mix of online webinars and in-person field trips. Classes are designed to provide an overview of energy challenges, potential solutions and individual choices. Topics include energy policy, renewable energy opportunities, transportation alternatives, climate change and home energy efficiency.  Classes are taught by CSU professors, Extension agents and industry professionals.

Participants have the option to attend one or more courses or to become certified as a Colorado Energy Master. To become a Colorado Energy Master, participants must complete all coursework and an energy-related project of their choice.  Continuing education units are available for realtors and graduate credits are available for teachers.

Cost of the program is $65 per course for regular registrants or $35 for aspiring Colorado Energy Masters, students or teachers. Discounts are available for those registering for the entire program. Registration closes Feb. 10.  For more information or to register, visit www.ext.colostate.edu/energymaster or contact County Extension Director Glenda Wentworth at 970-328-8630 or glenda.wentworth@eaglecounty.us
