CSU Extension presents Preparing and Canning Salsa Safely

CSU Extension and the Master Food Safety Advisors will introduce community members to the safe preservation method for canning salsa. The workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Golden Eagle Community Center, located at 715 Broadway in Eagle.

Attendees will learn to prepare and water bath three different canned salsas. Instructors will provide recipes, tips and hands-on experience to ensure the safest and best results when canning at home.

Cost is $25 and pre-registration is required. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. On the day of the workshop, attendees are asked to bring an apron, a sack lunch and beverages.
