Contact: Jenny Leonetti, Colorado University Extension 4-H Agent, 970-328-8630, jenny.leonetti@eaglecounty.us

Oct. 24, 2019 – Eagle County 4-H is hosting a recruitment and information night to help the community learn more about 4-H. Join 4-H enthusiasts on Monday, Oct. 28 from 7- 8 p.m. at the Exhibit Hall at the Eagle County Fairgrounds, located at 426 Fairgrounds Rd. in Eagle. Participants will have the opportunity to speak to the program’s local leaders and members and sign up for 4-H if they choose.

The Colorado 4-H Program has a variety of projects to offer youth aged 5-18 years. By becoming involved in a 4-H chapter, participants learn practical skills in each project, develop life skills and make life-long friends. Projects span the spectrum from training pets to making clothing to learning about agriculture. A wide range of projects are offered in Eagle County and the project materials are written by faculty members at the Colorado State University. Enrollment is now open until March 1. The cost is $40/year, with scholarships available to qualifying participants.

Questions can be fielded by Jenny Leonetti at jenny.leonetti@eaglecounty.us. Additional information about Eagle County’s 4-H program and CSU Extension can be found at www.eaglecounty.us/csu.
