Contact: Kip Turner, Aviation Director, Eagle County Regional Airport, 970-328-2648, kip.turner@eaglecounty.us or Jonathan Guerin, Senior Manager – Public Relations, United Airlines, 872-825-8937, jonathan.guerin@united.com

May 22, 2018 – United Airlines has announced new weekly nonstop service between its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) hub and Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) for the winter ski season. United also announced it is expanding its weekly San Francisco service to daily throughout the winter season and increasing from Saturday-only to daily service from Washington, D.C.- Dulles during the peak winter travel periods. Tickets are now available for purchase.

United’s new, Saturday-only service from Los Angeles International Airport departs at 12:45 p.m. and arrives in Eagle at 4:15 p.m. The return flight departs Eagle at 4:47 p.m. and arrives in Los Angeles at 6:27 p.m. United will operate the route with two-cabin Embraer E175 aircraft.

“With the addition of Los Angeles service, customers across our entire network can travel on United and enjoy the winter beauty of Eagle/Vail,” said Ankit Gupta, United’s vice president of Domestic Network Planning. “United offers customers more flights to more mountain and ski destinations than any other U.S. carrier and this expansion in Eagle demonstrates our commitment to the community.”

"We have a great partnership with United Airlines and we're very excited about their decision to begin nonstop service to Los Angles and expand San Francisco and Washington this winter,” said Kip Turner, Aviation Director for the Eagle County Regional Airport. “It speaks to Eagle County's increasing appeal and the strength in our market.”

United’s 2018 winter season schedule to EGE now includes nonstop roundtrip service from United hubs in Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington, D.C. - Dulles (IAD). The winter service expansion begins on Dec. 19.
