Otzelberger comes to the county from the City of Westminster, Colorado, where he worked his way from management intern, to senior management analyst, to assistant to the city manager. During his tenure he served as a key member of the budget team and led the city's nationally recognized performance measurement program. “I had the privilege of working with Aric in Westminster, and I know his skill set and passion for local government service will be an excellent fit for Eagle County,” said County Manager Brent McFall.

Otzelberger has also worked for the City of Centennial, Colorado and the City of Overland Park, Kansas. He holds a bachelor's degree in mass communication/journalism from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas.

In his new role Otzelberger will assist in the daily administration of county operations, including supervision of a portfolio of county departments and overseeing special projects.

"For my family and me, this is an incredible opportunity to serve the community in this amazing county,” said Otzelberger. “I am humbled and excited to join the team and will work hard every day to maintain and enhance the quality of life in Eagle County.  I look forward to listening, learning and working purposefully toward achieving the county’s goals.”
