Eagle County ECO Trails – Invitation for Bids Eagle to Horn Ranch Open Space Trail Project

The ECO Trails Program of Eagle County is seeking bids from qualified contractors for construct the 6.4 mile Eagle to Horn Ranch Trail Project as a segment of the Eagle Valley Trail between Town of Eagle and Wolcott.  The project purpose is to construct all components of the project in 2017 and 2018. The trail begins at the Nogal Gulch open space parcel owned by the Town of Eagle near the Eagle Public Works yard at 1050 Chambers Avenue and ends on the east border of the Horn Ranch Open Space owned by Eagle County. 

The project components include:

  • 10 foot wide, asphalt paved trail on 6” road base and compacted subgrade, with 1 foot roadbase shoulders each side
  • 19,825 square feet of gravity block walls at various locations throughout the project
  • 150 foot wood, wire and concrete boardwalk structure on the Horn Ranch property to span and protect wetlands
  • Asphalt paving and sign improvements at the existing Horn Ranch Road railroad crossing
  • Installation or extension of drainage pipe of various types, size and length throughout the project

There will be a Mandatory PRE-BID MEETING held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. MST at the ECO Trails offices, Building B meeting room, 3289 Cooley Mesa Road, Gypsum, Colorado, 81637.  Bidders are required to attend.

Bids are due no later than Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. MST.
