Environmental Health works to protect Eagle County's citizens and visitors by assessing environmental risks and providing effective service and education programs. Program areas include on-site wastewater treatment, consumer protection, code enforcement, and land use review.

Retail Food

Environmental Health licenses and inspects retail food establishments. We review plans for new or remodeled retail food establishments. Food safety education is also provided.

Septic Systems
Environmental Health reviews engineered designs for on-site wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) and issues OWTS permits for construction and repairs. We also license OWTS contractors and cleaners.

Code Enforcement investigates complaints regarding zoning, building and environmental issues in unincorporated Eagle County.
