Animal Services

The Animal Services Department provides high-level service and protection to the county's pet animals and citizens. Officers patrol for stray animals, investigate bites, make animal welfare checks and promote compliance with all laws pertaining to pet animals. The department also operates the animal shelter which provides a safe environment for stray animals and those needing new homes.

Services

Shelter
The Eagle County Animal Shelter facilitates animal adoptions, holds animals that have been impounded and are waiting to be reclaimed, tracks lost and found animals, and maintains a list of animals needing homes. The shelter also houses the offices of the Animal Services Department.

Rules and Regulations
The Animal Services Department uses education to promote compliance with the laws of Eagle County and various towns within Eagle County, as they relate to pet animals.
