Rebates and Incentives

Eagle County has suspended the solar rebate program due to decreasing revenues in the Eco-Build Fund, the dedicated source from which rebates were paid.

For renewable energy or energy efficiency proposals, the county offers an ECO-Build Community Grant program. The program is dependent upon the availability of funds received from ECO-Build fees. While it is anticipated that funds will be available in the future, we are not accepting ECO-Build Grant applications at this time.

The ECO-Build Committee is an advisory board which makes policy and funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The current ECO-Build Committee members are:

  • Seth Bossung
  • Megan Gilman
  • Erik Lundquist
  • Mike Villela
  • Bruce Norring
  • Matt Scherr
  • Yuri Kostick
  • David Riddle
  • Kyle Hoiland

Insulation Incentives
Both Source Gas and Xcel Energy offer insulation incentives which help offset the cost of making your existing home more efficient.  Source Gas offers a 50 percent rebate not to exceed $1000 per household, and Xcel offers a 20 percent rebate not to exceed $300 per household.  Look at your latest natural gas bill to see which jurisdiction and rebate program applies to you.  Below are the respective rebate forms and information:
