This registry includes only those persons who have been convicted of certain acts of unlawful sexual behavior since July 1, 1991, and who are in compliance with the sex offender registry as a safeguard against perpetrators of sexual assault on their communities. Persons should not rely solely on the sex offender registry as a safeguard against perpetrators in their communities. Offenders who are not in compliance may be listed on the Colorado Bureau of Investigation website.

Sex offenders are only shown for areas under the jurisdiction of the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, Avon Police Department, Eagle Police Department, Vail Police Department, and the Minturn Police Department.  The Basalt Police Department is not included at this time.  Only photos of adults convicted of a felony sex crime are included in this list.  Misdemeanor and juvenile sex offenders only have their location displayed; no photo or name is listed.
