Assessor's property record search will be down 8:00 a.m. October 19 until 8:00 a.m. October 20

The Assessor's Office property record search application will be unavailable from 8:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19 until approximately 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20. This outage is to allow for system maintenance.

Overview

The State of Colorado is an open records state, which allows anyone to obtain Colorado arrest information. Sealed records are not releasable and generally juvenile records are not accessible to the public. To inquire about a person and to obtain his or her record, you must enter the exact spelling of the person's name and the correct date of birth. Otherwise, the criminal history record will not be found.

The Sheriffs Office no longer completes Contact/No Contact Letters. Any individual in need of contact information must contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in order to complete a background check.

Contact/No Contact Letters will be completed for individuals who have received their background check through CBI and are still in need of a Contact/No Contact Letter from the Sheriff's Office due to special circumstances.

A government issued identification card is required in addition to a $10 fee. Payments may be made by cash , money order, or check; credit cards are not accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Eagle County Sheriff's Office.
