Contact: Shannon Cordingly, Public Information Officer, 970-376-7000 or shannon@sheriff.eagle.co.us

Local law enforcement agencies are once again seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary. Sometime during the night of April 30th, Route 6 Café, located at 41310 US Hwy 6, was burglarized.

There have been multiple burglaries in throughout Vail and Eagle County area in the last year. The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents that burglary is a crime of opportunity and is not a sophisticated crime. Burglars do not choose victims, they choose opportunities. Deterring a criminal starts with having solid exterior doors and windows with quality locks, equally important is remembering to keep doors and windows locked.

If you think you may have any information about the suspect(s) of these crimes, please call the Eagle County Sheriff's Office at 970-328-8500 or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007, 1-800-962-TIPS, submit your tip online at www.tipsubmit.com, or text a tip from your cell phone by texting STOPCRIME plus your message to CRIMES (274637). If your tip leads to the arrest and indictment of any suspect involved, you could earn up to a $1,000 reward from the Crime Stoppers.
