The Zoning Board of Adjustment has the following powers and duties under the provisions of the Land Use Regulations:
Variance. To hear, review, approve, approve with conditions or deny approval of applications for Variance Permits to Section 3-340, Zone District Dimensional Limitations, of the Land Use Regulations.
Make Expertise Available. To make its special knowledge and expertise available upon written request and authorization of the Board of County Commissioners to any official, department, board, commission or agency of the county, the cities of the county, the state or federal governments.
Recommend Rules of Procedure. To recommend to the Board of County Commissioners additional or amended rules of procedure not inconsistent with the Land Use Regulations to govern the Zoning Board of Adjustment's proceedings.
Make Additional Studies. To make studies of the resources, possibilities and needs of the county upon the authorization of the Board of County Commissioners, and to report its findings and recommendations, with reference thereto, from time to time, to the Board of County Commissioners.
