Roaring Fork Zoning Moratorium Resolution

Mid-Valley Area Community Master Plan

Dec. 5, 2017 –  A temporary moratorium on zone change applications is in place for the Roaring Fork Valley and unincorporated areas of Eagle County through April 23, 2018.

The moratorium applies to zone change applications for properties comprised of 5 acres or more that fall within the boundaries of the Mid-Valley Area Community Master Plan. The moratorium is intended to allow time for an evaluation of the plan, which guides land use decisions in the unincorporated areas of Eagle County within the Roaring Fork Valley.

The moratorium could possibly be extended if the Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission, the entity which statutorily adopts the master plan, has not completed their review.

A community process will take place as part of the master plan review. Those interested in participating in the process can sign up for Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission Agendas and Eagle County Planning Commission Agendas to stay up to date with meeting notices. Subscribe to Eagle County News Releases to stay informed about important countywide updates, including the moratorium and master plan review. Visit Eagle County E-news and select the appropriate subscriptions.
