Contact: Damian Peduto, Community Development Director, 970-328-8750, damian.peduto@eaglecounty.us

Jan. 10, 2018 – At the request of the Board of County Commissioners, the Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission will undertake a review of the Mid-Valley Area Community Plan beginning next week. The process will consist of a series of workshops, with the first scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the Eagle County Community Center, located at 0020 Eagle County Drive in El Jebel. Workshops will include opportunities for public participation.

The Mid-Valley Area Community Plan guides land use decisions in the unincorporated areas of Eagle County within the Roaring Fork Valley. The review of the plan was prompted by public sentiment expressed during recent land use hearings, as well as other community interactions. County officials have stated their desire to ensure local interests are reflected in the plan.

The anticipated schedule includes one workshop per month through April; however, the final schedule will be established by the planning commission. In addition to attending workshops in person, interested community members can stay up to date on the project and provide input through the following methods:
