Eagle County is in the process of updating the Mid Valley Area Community Master Plan, which was first adopted in 1991. Public meetings were held in June and October of 2008, at which time staff distributed a survey regarding issues and opportunities for each of four character areas; the Frying Pan Valley, Missouri Heights. The survey results are provided via the following links:

Over the past several years County Staff, a Technical Advisory Committee and the Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission has used public input and pertinent information regarding the physical, environmental and social conditions that exist in in the area to create vision statements, goals and policies and future land use maps for each of the four character areas. All of this work is preliminary in nature, and is subject to additional review and scrutiny by involved residents, business owners, agencies and interest groups. Final drafts and maps are now being completed, and are expected to be presented to the public in January of 2012.
