The Golden Eagle Senior Apartments were purchased in 2003 by the Golden Eagle Elderly Housing Corporation with funding through the US Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Division. Our federal funding provides subsidized rent to 24 of our 36 tenants.

Conveniently located in the heart of Eagle, Colorado, next to the Eagle Town Park, we offer 36 private entry, one bedroom, one bath, garden apartments. The federal laws governing our operations designate tenancy to persons 62 years of age or older, handicapped or disabled persons with income limits applicable to each household. Household incomes are certified upon entry and every year thereafter at least 30 days before the anniversary date of occupancy.

In the summer, private decks on each apartment are converted to flower gardens through use of decorative planters. There are additional areas in front of the apartments to add colorful perennials and annuals and raised gardens for those who choose to plant vegetables and herbs.

The Golden Eagle Senior Center is conveniently located in the center of our community and provides exercise and recreational programs, planned trips, and lunch twice a week. For additional information and/or applications for tenancy, please call Leona Perkins at 970-328-8897.
