Boards and Commissions

Eagle County Planning Commission

The Eagle County Planning Commission (ECPC) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Eagle Valley area of unincorporated Eagle County. 

Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission

The Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission (RFVRPC) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Roaring Fork Valley, Missouri Heights and Frying Pan Road areas of unincorporated Eagle County. 

Open Space Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) is to evaluate projects that would permanently preserve lands of significant scenic, cultural or environmental quality within the county. The Open Space program, as established in 2002, is funded by a 1.5 mill levy tax on property in Eagle County.  

Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets as needed to review applications for zoning variances. 

ECO Trails Committee

The 18-member committee generally meets five to six times per year to plan trail projects for construction using funds from the one-half percent transportation sales tax. 

Eagle County Regional Transportation Authority Board 

An eight member board of elected officials from incorporated towns develops operating policy for the Eagle County Regional Transit Authority. The half-cent county sales tax is dedicated to funding regional transportation.

Fair and Rodeo Advisory Council

The purpose of the Fair & Rodeo Advisory Council is to host a premier fair and rodeo event that preserves our western heritage and provides enjoyment for our communities and visitors.

Animal Services Advisory Committee

The Animal Services Advisory Committee will be comprised of seven members with knowledge and interest in animal care and welfare. Focus areas will include the physical and behavioral health of animals; housing and transport of animals; spaying, neutering and population management; facility improvements; public health; and consideration of other topics as needed. The committee will not have any management responsibilities, nor will it direct staff. The group will provide input on policies and priorities regarding animal sheltering and services.
