General Election - November 4, 2008

DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR MAIL-IN BALLOT AT ANY POLLING PLACE.  Your ballot must be received in the clerk's office -Eagle, Avon or El Jebel  - by 7 p.m. on election day.  Postmarks do NOT count as received.

See what's on the ballot.   The ballot displayed contains all races and issues for all Eagle County ballot styles.  The ballot issued to you will contain only those questions on which you are eligible to vote based on your place of residence on file with the Eagle County Clerk & Recorder's office.

Deadlines:

October 6, 2008:  Last day to register to vote or to update your Eagle County voter registration
October 28, 2008:  Last day to request a mail-in ballot to be mailed to the voter
October 31, 2008:  Last day to pick up a mail-in ballot (Eagle and El Jebel only)

Three ways to vote:

  • Polling Place
  • Mail in Ballot (formerly known as absentee ballots)
    • Mail or fax your Colorado Mail-In Ballot application to the Clerk's office  - Eagle location only
    • Request your mail in ballot no later than October 28, 2008
    • Ballots will be mailed the week of October 6, 2008 then daily through October 28, 2008
    • Drop off your mail-in ballot at any of the Clerk's offices until 7 p.m. on Election Day
    • Mail your ballot using the preaddressed envelope enclosed with your ballot (59 cents postage required)
    • YOU CANNOT DROP off your mail-in ballot at the pollling place

  • Early Voting
    • October 20 through October 31, 2008
    • Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • AND Saturday, October 25, 2008, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    • Bring your identification
    • Clerk and Recorder offices
      • Eagle - 500 Broadway
      • Avon - 100 W. Beaver Creek Blvd
      • El Jebel - 0020 Eagle County Drive
