The Clerk’s office is an agent of the Colorado Department of Revenue for motor vehicle titling and registration services. The Motor Vehicle Division is also responsible for the collection of taxes and fees as set by Colorado law.  If you have just moved to Eagle County you must register and plate your vehicle in one of our offices within 90 days.  Registration is required for all passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, campers, motor homes, motorcycles and special mobile machinery.  We also handle vehicle title issuance and transfers, distribution of license plates, temporary permits, registration renewals, recording of vehicle loans, and disabled placards.  We accept cash, check, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express. 

All credit card transactions totaling $10.01 or more will be charged a non-refundable portal administration fee of 2.7%.
