2012 Northwestern Colorado Livestock, Rabbit, Poultry, Dog and Horse Exposition
This Expo is special in many ways. It was set up to be a learning experience for 4-H livestock project members and not a livestock show or county fair. The purpose is to teach and give hands on experience to 4-H members on how to have a successful livestock project at their county fair.
In the continuing tradition of Expo, 4-H members will spend the first day in workshops with resource specialists from the livestock, rabbit, poultry, and horse or dog industry. The second day is full of excitement, in which youth exercise their skills acquired the previous day.
The Expo begins on Monday, June 11and continues through June 14, 2012 in Hayden, Colorado at the Routt County Fairgrounds.

Junior Livestock Auction
The 2011 Junior Livestock Auction was held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Eagle County Fairgrounds.
The 4-H youth participating in the auction are required to take full responsibility for raising their animals including purchasing, feeding, watering, grooming, and managing their overall health.
The youth learn to prepare themselves and their animals for show and must keep a daily record book on each animal.
The majority (97 percent) of the purchase price from the auction goes directly to the 4-H member. These kids use the money for future 4-H animal projects, college funds and savings accounts. The last 3 percent goes to the Junior Livestock Sales Commission to keep the sale going each year with administrative costs and marketing for the auction.
Without sponsors, volunteers, and buyers from many generous businesses and individuals the 2011 4-H Livestock Auction would not be possible.
