Permit Application Forms
*Electricians doing work in buildings in the greater El Jebel, Missouri Heights and Frying Pan River area shall submit electrical permits and schedule electrical inspections directly through the State of Colorado. Contact: www.dora.state.us for more information. Electricians doing work in unincorporated Eagle County between Dotsero/Burns and West Vail/Vail Mountain/Tennessee Pass shall submit electrical permit(s) through our main office in Eagle or satellite office in El Jebel.
**Eagle County Building Division processes fire sprinkler/fire alarm plans and inspections for private residential building structures throughout unincorporated Eagle County. Eagle County Government holds inter-governmental agreements (IGAs) with various local fire districts to administer commercial / multi-family fire sprinkler/ fire alarm permits and inspections in segments of unincorporated Eagle County. Residential / Commercial Building Permits and Fire Sprinkler Permit applications include accompanying plan documents and must be submitted:
- Via mail to: Eagle County Building Division; P.O. Box 179; Eagle, CO 81631
- In person: Main Community Development Department office in the Eagle County Building; 500 Broadway; Eagle (office hours 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays)
- In person: Eagle County Community Center at El Jebel; 20 El Jebel Dr; El Jebel (office hours 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays)
Plumbing, Mechanical/Fireplace, Electrical Permits may be applied for:
- Online through the Citizen Access Portal.
- Via fax 970-328-7185
- In person: Main Community Development Department office in the Eagle County Building, 500 Broadway in Eagle (office hours 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays)
- In person: Eagle County Community Center, c/o Clerk & Records office in El Jebel, 20 El Jebel Dr, El Jebel (office hours 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays)
To check status of a permit application, please call our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) toll free at 1-866-701-3307.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your permit number: BLDG-1-09-1234
- If prompted to enter year the permit was issued you can find it here: BLDG-1-09-1234 (enter 4 digit calendar year = 2009)
- From the main menu, press 4 "Check Inspection or Permit Status"
- Press 1 to "Check Permit Status"
If you're finished, you may hang up, otherwise, press 9 to return to the main menu; press 8 to return to the previous menu.
